Aegiphila caymanensis LAMIACEAE; Rare in the Cayman Islands
Native flora conservation through propagation.
Member of Botanical Gardens Conservation International
Dr. George Proctor said that "The Cayman Islands were as rich in plant diversity as the Galapagos." Cayman's rarest plants are threatened by increased road construction, housing development and quarries. While we cannot stop progress we aim to protect these botanical treasures from extinction by propagating them to be re-purposed as
landscape plant material.
We cannot achieve our goals without your help.
